This is a little Rubric that I have set up for parents and teachers to use. Give some of the ideas that we have used a little bit of time to set in and take effect. In about 2 weeks make an evaluation of the situation. Hopefully you will have seen some improvement in the child, if not maybe a new approach might help, check in every couple of weeks to evaluate the situation. Remember Rome was not built in a day, it takes time for change to take effect. There is no magic wand that can be waved so that all of a sudden your student or child will behave just the way you want them to. Give them time to adjust, celebrate their successes no matter how small and try to stay as positive as possible.
This is a pretty straight forward Rubric. It has been broken down into categories that can be used at home and at school. A score of 4 is the absolute best that we can hope for and 1 is probably where we are starting. As your child or student moves forward use this tool to measure their progress and decide if a change of tactics is in order or not.
